HOW IT WORKS

Three steps. One Review.

Upload. A vetted pro reviews. You get a PDF. Everything stays in writing.

Step 1

Upload what you have.

Photos of work in progress. A contractor's proposal. Sketches for a DIY job. Permits. Whatever you've got. Point to what's bothering you so the pro knows where to look first.

Step 2

A vetted pro takes it.

A vetted construction pro reviews the workmanship. Installation quality. Mechanical integrity. Manufacturer-install correctness. These standards are universal, so reviews work across state lines.

A conversation, in writing.

Your pro can ask for a sharper photo, a missing measurement, an angle they want verified. You can send up to 3 questions of your own. Attach anything. Everything stays on the record.

Questions.

Everything you need to know.

Can I get a Review before I sign a contract?

Yes. Upload the proposal and a vetted pro will sanity-check the scope — whether the work is complete, whether the materials and methods are appropriate, what's missing that a reputable contractor would normally spec, and what to clarify before you sign. Legal terms are for an attorney.

Is this legally binding?

A Review is a professional workmanship observation. It's advisory — the expert backup you need to negotiate repairs.

What if my contractor pushes back?

Every Review cites specific building codes. Most reputable contractors respect code citations and proceed with corrections.

Can I ask the pro questions?

Yes. Every Review includes an in-writing Q&A thread. You can send up to 3 questions with attachments. Your pro can ask as many clarifying questions as they need. Most Reviews don't require any back-and-forth.

Is there a video call?

Not today. Reviews are fully async — faster to schedule, cleaner record. Live video is in development. In the meantime, you can send short video clips in the Q&A thread. A 10-second walkaround usually covers what a still photo can't.

Which states do you cover?

All 50. Workmanship standards are universal, so any vetted pro in the right trade can review your project. Trade licensing varies by state and trade — most of ours are licensed where their state requires it, but plenty work in trades where no license is issued. Code-compliance pass/fail — permits, inspections — is for a local pro or municipal inspector.

Can I use my Review for insurance?

Yes. Reviews are routinely used as supporting documentation for home insurance claims and structural disputes.

Do I need special equipment?

Just a phone with a camera. Clear, well-lit photos. If your pro needs a specific angle, they'll ask.

Will the pro try to sell me work afterward?

No. Soliciting work from homeowners they review is strictly prohibited. No business cards. No follow-up. No quotes. Pros who break this rule are removed.

Can the pro contact me outside the platform?

No. All communication stays on-platform. No phone numbers, no emails, no business info. If you ever get an off-platform message from someone claiming to be a pro, report it to us.
